Lighting solutions in Kenya for every type of space.

Some customers already know what they need: a solar floodlight for a gate, a street light for an access road or garden lights for a pathway. Those products can be viewed and purchased through our online shop.

Retail lighting has more than one job. It must provide comfortable general illumination, make products easy to see, guide movement through the store and give selected displays enough emphasis. Poor spacing can create dark patches; unsuitable optics can produce glare; and weak colour quality can make merchandise appear flat or inaccurate.

For supermarkets, shops and showrooms, Plasma Solar develops a lighting solution around the floor plan, ceiling arrangement, shelf layout, product zones and operating hours. We can combine general ambient lighting with track-mounted accent lights and other task-appropriate fittings instead of forcing one type of luminaire to do everything.

Commercial and industrial lighting

Large spaces often appear simple until the installation is evaluated properly. High mounting points, long aisles, dusty conditions, heat, moisture, machinery, racking and long operating hours all affect the choice of fitting. You may have dark aisles, harsh glare, frequent lamp failures, fittings that collect dust, uneven illumination or an electricity bill that no longer reflects the useful light delivered. An assessment can document the current installation and identify whether the answer is a new layout, different optics, more suitable fittings, improved controls or a combination of these measures.

Early coordination makes it easier to align the lighting layout with ceilings, shelving, signage, cable routes and controls. This reduces improvisation on site and gives the electrical contractor a clearer basis for installation and costing.

Which solar light is suitable for my compound?

Can I buy solar lights directly online?

Yes. Plasma Solar’s online shop lists solar flood lights, street lights and garden lights with product information, pricing and delivery options. Larger projects can still be discussed with our team before purchase.

How do you decide how many lights a godown requires?

We consider the floor area, mounting height, racking and obstructions, surface reflectance, work being performed, target illumination and the photometric performance of the proposed fittings. A layout based only on square metres or wattage can produce poor uniformity.

What is a lighting design?

A lighting design translates the space and its required use into fitting types, positions, aiming or orientation, quantities and controls. Where project information allows, calculation software can be used to estimate illumination and uniformity before installation.

Are tubular tri-proof lights suitable for every warehouse?

No single fitting suits every warehouse. Tubular tri-proof lighting can be appropriate where linear distribution and resistance to dust or moisture are important. Ceiling height, aisle layout, target illumination and the fitting’s tested performance must still be checked.

Can efficient LED lighting reduce operating costs?

It can reduce energy use where efficient fittings and sensible controls replace older or poorly selected lighting. The actual saving depends on existing power, new installed power, operating hours, tariff and whether the proposed layout still achieves the required lighting result.

What information should I provide for a commercial lighting assessment?

Share the site location, floor plan or basic dimensions, ceiling height, photographs, operating hours, the activities carried out in the space and any current problems. For an existing installation, include the number and rating of the current fittings if known.
